I'm looking for info on my great-grandparents. Her name was Catherine Kiley

1925. He had a broom factory at one time in Belvidere. They were married in
Mass. in 1859, and moved to Belvidere in 1866. Would you have any info on
them? Thanks!

Hello Everyone,
I have put an indexed updated version of my Ellis/Scott gedcom file at
http://www.my-ged.com/ellis/ if you wish to take a look at it. You can
search there by surname. It contains all of the people in my database, so if
you don't see I don't have it.
For those of you with the ability to create genealogical gedcom files, I
would suggest placing them on that server. Dave Wilks operates the server
and it is a wonderful way to share your information with others. It's very
easy to place and upda

in the census) in New York

Hi Dan,
We'll, you certainly have given me a lot to think
about! Thanks so much for providing me with the
information you sent me on the BURTONS in Boone Co. It
has been very helpful!
You are right about Nathan and Nancy's first four
children - they were all probably born in New York.
When it came down to my GG-Grandfather, Charles W., I
was always unclear exactly where he was born. Charles
eventually married and moved to Pendleton, OR. The 1900
census for Pendleton listed Charles' birthplace
Lynn,
The only Burton that appears in the surname index of Boone Co 1850
census available online is a Gideon Burton that doesn't seem to match
your family below.
Nathan Burton appears on p. 524 of the 1860 Census microfilm and p. 371
of the 1870 Census microfilm. Those are both in Bonus Twp.

it's not very big, located in northeastern Illinois, right on the Wisconsin

Hope this information helps.

I am looking for the parents of Henry Wallace Ward. Henry was born Feb
9, 1861 in Belvidere, Boone County, Illinois to Daniel Ward and Helen
Mar Graves Ward. I can't seem to find any information on the parents.
We were told Henry left home when he was 9 years old. Perhaps his Dad
died at that time. I haven't been able to find the family in census,
and actually couldn't find a "Boone County" in Illinois.

Nancy,
When I was corresponding with Beth Hanson about the Rice family recently
I looked for Jehial Rice in the published indexes for Boone Co done by
Helen Maxwell Williams. He did not appear. His death precedes the
period for which Mrs. Williams indexed obituaries.
