Frank, I am very interested in the Berns surname. I've seen Nick and Mary (Bartke) Berns were in the society listings a few times in the early 1900's. Their son, Anton, married Elizabeth M. Immings in 1909. What is involved in joining the Clinton Co Historical Soc? How can one order a Quarterly? This is for Laurin who was searching for information about the families of John Fie and Emery Moore. In your 2005 post about John Fie's family you mentioned Petermyers. John and Anna's daughter, Mary J. Fie married Robert Johann Petermyer on 1/11/1909 in Marion Co. In 1910 and 1920 they are found in Breese Twp., of Clinton County. Both Mary and Robert are dead by 1930 and children are scattered: Robert Jr.(b1910) has joined the Marines and is at Quantico; Andrew G.(b.1911) is in the Clinton County

Imming is a big name in Aviston, IL Last year, the Clinton County Historical Society published the Parish Death Records for St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Aviston, IL.
