Hi Donna;
I lost the e-mail from you about your Middleton's so I am writing the mailing list again. I would very much like to have any information that you could send me. My Charles Middleton was living in Ripley Co., MO in 1900. I don't know where he was before that. Any information would help. Thanks

Great work on reading the St. Francis Cemetery in Aviston, Illinois! Thank
you for the time and hard work that you all put into it in order to help all of
us working on family trees. You made it very easy to follow and obtained a
lot of information. Thanks for making it easier for us to get information on
our ancestors.

Sorry, Dottie,
I don't have a copy of this book. I'm hoping that a library nearby will
obtain a copy in the near future.

Hi, Ken,
The only two Coopers that we've found so far that are buried in Carlyle are:
COOPER, George P. born 26 Dec 1835 died 17 Mar 1914
COOPER, Margaret A. born 1 Apr 1840 died 16 Feb 1924
The 1900 census for Carlyle Township, Household 121-138, lists them still
here. I'll try to find more this evening. Unproofed info:
Cooper, James, Head, born May 1828, married 47 years, born IL
Cooper, Harriet, wife, Mar 39, had 15 children, 11 living, KY
Mainer, Theresa Dau, Jul 1879, married 3 years, had 1 child
Carol has loaded the 1862 military draft census of guys from 18 through 45 on line that Laura Cordingley transcribed. This can be found under the census category and the military category. And remember the basic rule - phonics, phonics, phonics. Have fun! http://www.rootsweb.com/~ilclint2/1862census/index.htm Thanks Laura for another super job!
I found info alot actually copied one page and trying to fax it to you. The
name of the book is there and I think it is the one Dorothy told you about.
I can copy more if you want and send it or you can get a copy from the
archives and check it out yourself.

Does anyone have a reference of when the hospital in Carlyle was
closed/converted to a "Home for the Aged"?
I'm trying to track down the range of dates when children might have been
delivered at that hospital, or verify that they never had an OB ward.
IL, Carlyle: St. Julia's Hospital / St Mary's Home for the Aged
Thanks in advance,
Frank
