The postcards are of Evansville, DC, SD, and generally all over. This family traveled a lot. Lines I can determine are-- Mrs. Augusta Schemet, children are Ida (living

Susan, I'm at work and don't have my files in front of me at the moment, however, I recognize the name Kaericher as having been seen in my family files. I'll check that name out first opportunity I have. My mother, Mary Ellen Blacker, spent much of her youth in West Salem. As a matter of fact, I drove there a couple of years ago and photographed much of the center of town. At that time, I ran into a spry older lady who was a Clodfelter. I don't recall her first name, but she was a storehouse of informa

If you would like a copy of it let me know. On my Naylor side of the family I have Ann Naylor b.Oct. 1801 who married a Schofield, but can't fine a first name for him to see if he is related to Jane. I don't know the answer, but I do know that there was a Samuel West who was a member of the Birk's Prairie Church of which I inquired about yesterday. Also Thomas F. Glover was a member of this church. I'm hoping someone will help me find out about Mrs. Schrader and see if we can save the records from destruction (if not already too late). I did my best about 15 years ago and only partially succeeded. I have quite a few West family members in my database, but here are the ones who were members of the Bi

I was eleven years old in 1935 living for two years in Samsville, IL with my grandparents, Dr. and Mrs. Wm. E. Buxton. For some reason I remember the unusual newspaper ad of a Dr. Pharr of Mt. Carmel-"Dr. Pharr sure knows how to fit glasses". About 11 years later I became an optometrist, not because of this ad though and retired 11 years ago. In the 1948 Blue Book of Optometry two Drs. Pharr are listed in Mt. Carmel, IL., John M. Pharr and Edith F. Pharr, at different street addresses. Perhaps John M. w
