Hi Folks, I could use your help. I am trying to confirm the identify of the father of Artemecia YOUNG. She was b. 1815 KY and married Allen HANKS in Edwards Co in 1834. Artemecia and Allen seem to have moved between White and Edwards counties from 1840-1870. I suspect her father is either a William YOUNG or a Christopher YOUNG both of whom appear on the 1830 White Co census. William b. bet. 1790-1800 and Christopher b. bet. 1780-1790. Eldon, There won't be any additional information for a marriage that early. They were married 11 February 1834 by Samuel Coles and it is recorded in Marriage Book 'A' at page 34. That's all that is recorded that early. It wasn't until about 50 years later that the "good" information is available from the marriage applications.
