I have a question, can any one think of a reason a person
would be married in Hardin County but their marriage
certificate reside in Gallatin County?
I just looked up the history of the counties and since
Hardin was made from Gallatin I can see records back
before Gallating was created behind but I am looking at a
date around 1910.

Illinois law (now & al least last 30years) Marriage License is valid for
sixty (60) days only in the county in which it was issued.
"I am looking at a date around 1910." The license actually says they were
married in Harden County but was issued in Gallatin County?
Sometimes young couples married neighboring counties so their true wedding
date was not known or their first child would not be premature.
Some cases one family or the other did not approve of the potential spouse.

road block! I am looking for information on Alexander Robinson - possibly
Wm. Alexander but every record I have been able to find says Alexander or
just Alex. All census records indicate he was born in TN and his father born
