1. [ILHAMILT-L] Question about Sandford R. PAGE 1811-1887 [1]
Sandy, here is some of what I have. My information is not my original work, but it is information I have gathered from the Franklin Co. and Hamilton Co. lists with much of it from Sheldon Jones. Some information also came from a RootsWeb.com posting by Robert Busby (annbobbusby@worldnet.att.net). Would be glad to share additional information and would appreciate anything you could add to my information. Trev, There is no surviving marriage record for Sanford & Nancy in Franklin County...however there are other 1838 marriage that survived the court house fire. Don't know where the 1838 marriage date came from.........my records say Sanford & Nancy were married 14 Nov 1833. 6. [ILHAMILT-L] Schemet postcard book [1]
Hi, a few years back my father (James Zuber) brought home an old book of beautiful postcards, all mailed to Mrs. Augusta Schemet of 1118 E. Illinois St. in Evansville. I have read through all these postcards, trying to determine a family line. I would love to send this beautiful, fragile book (circa 1910) to its rightful owner. The postcards are of Evansville, DC, SD, and generally all over. This family traveled a lot. Lines I can determine are-- Mrs. Augusta Schemet, children are Ida (living

8. Re: [ILHAMILT-L] Question about Sandford R. PAGE 1811-1887 [1]
I'm a descendant of Sanford & Nancy through their son John Milton Page....so I thought I'd add my 2 cents worth to Sam's message. I believe some of the confusion over the children of Sanford & Nancy comes because some children listed in the census records with them were not their children. In 1850 census, there is a Sarah Kelley age 1....this is probably the daughter of neighbor O P Kelley. Then in the 1860 Census, there is a Sarah listed as age 11 years but with the surname Page. There is a Willi

You're not the only with with a double dose of Webb genes......so....that make you a 5th or 6th cousin to yourself ?? but genealogy is easier, you get the same lineage twice !!! Kate, Nancy Webb was a daughter of Lazarus Webb & Nancy Creek of Franklin County, IL. The Webbs migrated to Illinois from Warren/Barren County, KY, circa 1812. Prior to Kentucky these Webbs were from St. Stephens Parrish in Northumberland County, VA. We have a missing link but we tend to believe that the Northumberland Webb Family was from the Webbs of Isle of Wight County, VA. 23. Re: [ILHAMILT-L] Question about Sandford R. PAGE 1811-1887 [1]
Susan, Joel Page was Sanford's uncle. Sanford was the son of Robert Page & Elizabeth Smith. Joel and Robert were sons of Robert Page, Sr and Rachel Brockman. Joel Page left Spartansburg County, SC, with his father-in-law, Jeremiah Page.....they went through Barren County, KY, on their way to Illinois. Robert , Jr. did not leave SC until after the death of Robert, Sr, and as far as I have found, went straight to IL. You know, the Harrelsons (and Vises) were from the Spartansburg-Laurens County, SC
