Recipe for a Happy New Year
Take 12 fine, full-grown months; see that these are thoroughly cleansed
from all old memories of bitterness, rancor, hate, and jealousy.
Cut these months into 30 or 31 equal parts. (This batch will keep for one
year. Do not attempt to make more than one batch at a time-many people
spoil the entire lot in this way.)
Prepare one day at a time as follows: Into each day, put 12 parts of fa
I have some old unidentifiable photos taken at a photographer studio called

I'm in the process of changing providers. Please change
my email addy to gingerh@shawneelink.com
I'll be uploading the Pope & Hardin County sites with the
new addy soon.
If I'd known how many changes I'd have to make I would
probably have thought twice about doing it. I believe
this will be a more reliable connection. I've had a lot of
mail problems on my old ISP for the last few months.
Thanks

The barber Frailey of Cave-in-Rock died last year. You should be able to
find his obit on the Daily Register Online by using the on-site search
engine. I can't remember who is father is, but I've been told it is one of
the Fraileys associated with Logan Belt (or at least active during that time
period). That would probably make him a cousin to you.

Just got info from my only first cousin, L. FRAILEY that she read a
newspaper article, possible in the Decatur paper 2-3 yrs ago about a Bill
FRAILEY in either Harrisburg or Shawneetown who was then around 100 yrs old
and had a barber shop. She wanted me to find out what I could about him and
see if he's related to us. I imagine he is since most Fraileys in Hardin
County are - going back to Daniel Frailey, b. abt 1750. Any FRAILEY info
would be greatly appreciated. Also, Thomas and Betsey Coonse BURRUS who
"Barber" Frailey was related to my uncle Bobby Gene Frailey. According to my
aunt, not only was he a barber but was known to sell a little bootleg alcohol
and at one time owned a dancehall. Parked next to the dancehall was a trailer
and you could open a window and tap on the trailer qwindow and buy yourself a
bottle. Hardin County, except for Elizabethtown is a dry county.

Hi Denise, I was just wondering...What Curry's and Womack's are you
researching. I am trying to find information on Elizabeth Curry daughter
of a James Curry who was married to George Washington Herrin of Cave In
Rock IL. Also my Womack family of that area is John Wesley D Womack.
Would you by any chance have any info on either of these 2? Also for what
names are you putting obits on your page for? I have some Herrin obits
that I'm sure someone would love to have and wouldn't mind sharing if you
know o

Since I had some questions and opinions expressed privately
I thought maybe this clarification was in order. : )
The USGenWeb Project is dedicated to the free exchange, and
availabilty, of genealogical research and resources on the
Internet. I maintain this list in conjunction with the Pope and Hardin
County ILGenWeb Project , which is, in turn, affiliated with the
USGenWeb Project.
This list was started to enable lookups and other free exchange
between researchers with roots in this county.
