Thanks for the information. I really appreciate your help. I think
those are all mine, except maybe Alice Johnson 1864-1905. I'll keep her
name and keep searching. Judy

I am not a Williams descendant. My line comes through James P Joyce's
2nd wife, Martha Minerva Womack. The Williams in Crittenden Co are not
the same as the Williams family in Hardin Co, IL, if I am not mistaken.

nothing. So they can't do any look ups if I have nothing to go by. I wonder
if he was also a special agent with the government. Sandra

Yes, I would like info on her and her family and any of the Sheldon's in or
around Hardin Co. This would be a real blessing to me. Thanks Sandra
Brenda,
Yes, we have talk in the past. I appreciate your time, just trying to sort
this all out. If I find out anything new I will pass it on to you. My James
Charles was born 1823, I have a copy of his original obit that I got from a
cousin. That is where I have gotten most of my info. Thanks for writing
back, I had lost past info due to a hard drive crash. Thanks again.

Karen and Sandra,
I think the Lafayette in the article was actually Marcus Layfayette
Sheldon (b 1857). I have seen this article before and figured it must be
Marcus Lafayette. Marcus was also referred to as M.L. His brother
(Greebury) had a son named Lafayette who was born around 1891.
Marcus Lafayette Sheldon is my Great Grandfather. Lemuel Sheldon is his

There were two Lafayette's in our family. And I am wondering if this is my

If this is 1879 then this would be his great great uncle. Could you get
anything on Lafayette Sheldon born 1891? He would have been 20 in 1911. So
if you have anything on him from 1891 and on to 1950' s I would appreciate
