Anne, I am wondering if this marriage between James Thomas and Margaret McKinley was late in life because she was married to Willis Gilmore in 1878. This may have been her second marriage.

Does anyone have access to marriage records? My grandmother was married
four times, twice between 1910 and 1920. If anyone can help me, I need
lookups of the 2nd and 3rd marriage records.

I imagine that it is going to be correct.
The time frame would be correct.
I don't have anything further on her except that she is buried at Biggsville
about 18years after her husband.. I may have the cemetery listing...but,

Additionally, the grandfather of the famous band director Paul Whiteman, was
Samuel Miller Whiteman. On the National Archives Film T9-0212 Page 37D
1880 Henderson Co. IL it lists a St. Clare Alexander living with them as a
farm hand, age 22.

I do have a Margaret McKinley in my database that married a James Thomas Whiteman b 1852 from Biggsville. I don't have her birth date, however they married late in life..1910, and then he died in 1920.
She to may have been family of your Ella, Alice and Andrew.
Several years ago I posted this, and will do so again now in hopes that it may be helpful to someone.

Also, the M.M. Douglass could be Mary Martha Douglass born 27 Mar 1850 in York Co., PA and she married Samuel J. Stockton in Biggsville, no dates. The Douglass line is also married into the Kilgore line.

At one time it was common practice to have several towns of the same name
in the state, and many towns and cities had former names with a few having
had several, so if you have used a current map to find an old town name you
may have created your very own brick walls or even worse you have connected
with the wrong lines. "Bloomfield" is an excellent example of this common
practice, just look at any current map and find it now in Johnson County
close to Vienna, in 1958 it had a population of 80
