Have information that Hannah E. HENKEL, wife of John HENKEL who was born Feb. 26, 1848; died on Dec. 26, 1886 in Jersey CO. IL. She is supposed to be buried in th Prewitt-Hawkins Prairie Cemetery. Does any one have other information on Her and possible where her OBIT might be found.

There is no biographical sketch on any surname Barnes in that volume. I only had one of my great great great uncles and one of six great grandparents from Jersey county listed in the index.

Leila Bray poses an interesting problem for me. According to the 1900 census she was born Feb 1882, and she was 18, single and living with her parents in Otter Creek Twp. at the time of the census. There were no grandchildren reported in the home.

As an aside to your question: There is a bio of John Berfield in the following book (on Heritage Quest). It mentions his dau Elizabeth's marriage to Nathan Stockton, and that she is deceased at the time of the writing (1887).
