Hi! Looking for the death dates for Levi Taylor (1778-?) and his wife Nancy
Ann Rowlett Taylor (May 3, 1789-?). I found pictures of their gravestones in
a Johnson County history book, but no directions on how to get there. Yes.
Reed Smoot is buried at Reynoldsburg. I went last year on a research visit
to Johnson County. I descend from Reed Smoot's sister Nancy Beale Smoot. I
also descend from Benjamin Franklin Kelly who is buried in Johnson CO.

I am looking for the parents and any info. on Tessie Jane Russell, md. May
17, 1900 LeRoy Holmes in Johnson Co., IL. I have found (2) Jane
Russell's in the 1880 Saline Census, but unsure as to which she is without
parents names. Anyone with any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

Louise and Joy,
Thank you for responding. I saw a filmed copy of the index years ago and
wrote down the people I was interested in, but could not get the book. If
you would look for the following people for me I would be most appreciative.
(I am not sure but I wrote down that the book had something about
cemeteries?)
David H. H. Birch/Burch page 72.
Sarah Jones pages 88, 145, 340 and 372.
Sarah J. Jones page 373.

I have some info on the Yandell line. Philander's granddaughter Olive
(known in the family as Ollie) was my grandfather's stepmother. She &
g/grandpa William Lambert didn't have any children of their own, but in
adding her info to my files I also got some on her family.
Also, I have a Lillie Vancleve, who married James Burns, half-brother of my
gg/grandmother. She was born about 1862, but I'm not sure who her parents
were. If you should happen to come across her in your Vancleve research, I

I am searching for any portrait of HUGH HENSHAW or ANDERSON CORDER HENSHAW.
They would have been taken in the middle to late 1800's. If anyone has
one, would you be willing to make me a copy?
Thank you,

Ed,
Could you give me the full name and title of that book, Parker's History of
Johnson County? Is that all the title and what is the author's pen
name? I have used interlibrary loans and really appreciate them.

I've enjoyed reviewing a copy of Parker's History of Johnson County two or three times. My local library was able to get a copy through the interlibrary loan system. There is no cost to the borrower. It's interesting to look through the book and you may discover connections that you wouldn't have thought of otherwise.
Ed
Would some kind soul please tell me what is in the Parker's book?
Thanks,
Sharlene

Names Researched: CAMPBELL, LANCASTER, DRUM, WHITESIDE, WHITESIDES, JOHNSON
These ancestors traveled around the Southern Illinois counties of Massac, Pulaski, Johnson, Pope and the Southeast Missouri counties of Scott and Cape Girardeau. Am especially interested in proof of the marriage of George M. CAMPBELL to Hattie Ann LANCASTER in Massac or Pulaski Counties on December 13, 1902. According to the family Bible, this is the correct date but I have been unable to verify it through either of these two count
