Thank you so much! I found a Thomas Meisenheimer in 1870 in Union Co. but his
wife was not 'Mary'.
Mary Hardy's father was John G. so it would fit that her first son was named
John, also her two step-sisters married sons of Samuel Copeland.
Does anyone have more information on the Obediah Fisher family?

This has to do with Johnson Co IL and you , please read it and if you can
help do so. Sounds like a large project and if you have ever seen a Railroad
depot redone it is history. I live in Dongola IL and it had a depot but was
torn down for parking when I was a kid. My grndmother said she caught the
train to go to Anna to shop.
How many of your folks used these trains in Johnson Co IL to go somewhere ?
This was sent to me as I requested the information for the list.
The Forman Depot is a wood frame structu

Dear Kristin,
If you are flying into St. Louis you might make a stop at the
Bre?????????? Library in Mt. Vernon. I think it is on Main and 4th or Main
and 7th. Has a HUGE genealogy room of Southern Illinois genealogy. If you
go into the Jefferson Co. web page on USGen Web it may have hours and info on
the library.

I put 25 mailboxes in my Outlook express mail list for Johnson Co IL and it
works this should help me help you when you have problems or wanting
something from Johnson Co IL. When I have mail from you it will stay in bold
letters and I will know you have a request. Instead of me looking thru 70
emails a day and then forgetting what you asked I can maybe be more
organized.
I have some photos to add , I have been working on the Civil War page ,
still need info for other wars WWI or WWII , Korean War, Vietnam

The 1860 census of Tunnel Hill, Johnson County, Il, lists my Jordan Goddard thus:
Jordan Gothard, 19, M, (BLANK), 200, (BLANK), can't read or write
Rebecca, 17, F, Wife, Tenn
Emeline, 4, F, Ill
John M, 1, M, (BLANK)
Information about Jordan that I have discovered so far:
The information regarding Jordan's illiteracy is also confirmed in the 1880 census of Liberty Township, Crawford County, Missouri where he was living at that time.
The 1880 census cited above, as well as the 1900 and 1910 Soundex for Mi
