In case you don't happen to reach someone who just "knows" where to look on this, it might be good to know that the Borden Library in Elgin has quite a lot of material available on the Watch Factory, including news clipping abstracts on employees, etc. In fact they have a nice collection of helpful material of all sorts. I've "rescued" an old photograph of the FRANTZ Family of Illinois which was taken at the Bowen Studio in Cerro Gordo, IL. The photograph is of parents (described as Grandma & Grandpa on the back of the photograph) and six children including, Orpha, Edith, Laurence, Pearl, Mabel, and the last described only as "Dad". I'm guessing that the person who made the notes on the back of the photograph was the son or daughter of the young man identified as "Dad" as the others have initials for either "Aunt" or "Unc
