Would like to find out if there is a listing of who all is buried in the
Bruner Cemetery, which I believe is in Wataga. If so, can someone point me in
the direction of where I might be able to read the information.
I have an Adam and Elizabeth Rice Bruner that are supposed to be buried there.
It's questionable as to whether or not they have marked graves, as they were
married in 1785.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Sherry

Hello Janice:
McMURTRY is one of the surnames that I am searching, but I am not sure that
there is any connection with Knox County.
SAMUEL WHITE (whose descendants settled in Fulton Co., IL in the early
1840s) was the son of ALEXANDER WHITE and MARY MC MURTRY. Alexander was
born in 1709 and some claims that he was descended from Peregrine White

Jan,
It's nice to hear from you. Hope everything is going well.
I have spent the past couple of days doing some catch up on mail, and am
feeling so much better about it. I have gotten a lot of great information
this past week from a lot of different people - it is truly overwhelming.
I would love to have a map of the cemetery. My husband and I are discussing a
trip back to Iowa and Illinois, maybe next summer. By then I hope to have
enough information that I can plot out a worthwhile trip, to see eve

Hi Janice:
I have been in contact with Joan Gustafson since last fall, and we are
related. My chart shows we are either 3rd cousins, or 3rd cousins once
removed. The latter, I think.
Joan-->I haven't received your descendancy chart, so I don't have your
line, and I've forgotten. Was your Job a brother to Asa White, or his son?

This is a "Public" Thank You to all the people who responded to my query about
the Bruner Cemetery. It absolutely overwhelmed me how generous everyone was
with their time. It also reminded me that "genealogy people" are the nicest

If anyone needs any info from California, don't hesitate to ask.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
