To all of you who may have Knox County ancestors who came from Connecticut,
Two festivals were held in Galesburg (January 7, 1859 and January
6, 1860) which were social gatherings for all those who hailed from
Connecticut living in the vicinity of Knox County. I requested a copy from
the Knox College Library several years ago where the originals are kept.
The Registry of names of attendees is included in the booklet.
Thought it might be helpful to someone out there to see if your an
This is my first posting to this list. I have been conducting research
for approximately one and a half years and have ran into many stumbling
blocks but am currently looking for anyone with ROWE information for
Northwestern Illinois. If anything matches your info or you have
additional info, I'd love to hear from you. The ROWE names and
Descendants I have are:
GERALD ROWE 1895-1945
GERALD ROWE 1902-1945
GRACE ROWE (CARNE) Abt. 1700

Searching for links to my Gr. Gr. Grandparents Alexander Page who married
Ruthy Ann Clark Nov. 19, 1846 in Knox County, Illinois. Alexander Page was
born in Kentucky (county unknown) in 1821 and died in Vancouver WA in 1896.
Son, Alonzo Newton Page was born to them Oct. 2, 1864 possibly in Knox
County also. Then there's possibly another son, Marris G. Page, died 5 Oct
1863 and is buried in Mather Cemetery, Orange Township, Knox County
Illinois. Would like address to Courthouse in Knox County to write to
I don't know what the original request was but there is a book called:
Bruner, Wooley, Weech by Alice Weech Cole and another lady
You could probably find lots of information on this family in there. Jan

I have just signed Knox up for Genconnect for queries, feel free to go and
post queries there, I will probably double enter them for the first month
and then will have people just put up their own.

they offer, biographies, obituaries, wills, deeds, pensions, bible records
plus the queries. I am having the query notifications sent to this list, I

have a problem with getting them this way.
I am hoping that the people on this list will do some information
contributing to the GenConnect system, it seems to go really well, I tried
