Tell Leo that I said thanks. We will try checking with the City Clerk
and Police Dept. I'm doing this checking for my daughter-in-law, Monica
and her family. She just left with the kids to go back home, and the
house is empty, empty, empty.
Love,
Karen
I am looking for a copy of "Marine, Illinois-An Historical Review" by Ron Loos. Does anyone know where I can obtain a copy of this book? Thank you.

Greetings, Everyone!
Dave Lossos has added some more Bethlehem Lutheran Church records on his site:
http://genealogyinstlouis.accessgenealogy.com
These are confirmation lists from 1870 to 1897. At first I thought it would
not be worth transcribing these records because in many cases the lists
consist of nothing more than a last name under a header of "Boys"

Hello,
Chief Harold Riggins' wife name was Wanda. She was a security guard at
the old Arlen's store in the 1960s.
He was night captain and worked for the police department in the 50s and
maybe even the 40s. He later became chief. There is a lot of information
about him in the files of Hayner Library in Alton.
You may already have them information, but thought I would pass it
along.

For those who wanted to buy a copy of the Plat map for Madison county the
name of the company is Farm and Home Publishers out of Belmond Iowa. Their phone
number is
1-800-685-7432. Local number in Iowa is 515-444-3508. I have found my copy
from 1998. I have a more recent copy but have no idea where I have stuck it for
the moment. Ellie

Hi Cousin Karen,
Leo remembers the name but he said he was "young" so didn't know too much
about him. Check with the Police Dept. or City Clerk.....they could have
pictures. Loved your email on the St. Louis mansions, esp. Orthwein's!

I have had Ancestry for over 3 years. No problem. If and when I choose not
to get it any more I will just change my personal settings along with
calling them. They can't debit my card without a valid number. I didnt much
care for the newspaper subscription tho. Had no trouble cancelling it.

who want to see this lady get her marker back! I sure appreciate it. So
far the info yo
My journal is finished. Except that I am not hearing from descendants
of Peter and Anna Everts or John and Elizabeth Crites. I have all the
info on the first generation, Peter, Anna, John & Lizzie. They, of
course, are all dead.
If you are a part of the tamily, write to me eiher at this site or my
Email address for the Journal. I have very little information from 1981
forward. A few brave relatives have written, and I have included the
info they sent.
Rev. Dewey Leon Everts Jr.(age 75)
I am searching for a list of those interred here. Is there one available
somewhere? Also any history on the school. My grandmother Jesse Ann Barnett
attended that school bet. 1897-1909. I saw a photo online at
http://www.theschwag.com/memorial1.html but don't know how old that school
is. Is the school still there now?
Thanks.
Greetings
Would appreciate a whole bunch if someone would send a complete census image for
Charles Quade, Livingston, Olive Township, Madison County, Illinois.
Wishing you the very best,

I have found in the Alton paper where a Caroline Graff married William C. Morrissey on May 28, 1909. Could this be the same Caroline Graff and something happened in the marriage?
I later found where William Morrissey a/k/a was indicted for larceny on three counts and was to serve three years on each count. That was on March 30, 1854.
This is a long stretch but stranger things have happened.

Thank you!!!!! Gloria!!!!! for this wonderful website!!!!! I immediately
tried it out and found the link to the WWI records and found my husband's
maternal grandfather on it - Clarence R. Higgins!!!! Now I have his exact date of
birth, when he was inducted, etc. I have a picture of him with the men of his Co
L, 54th Infantry (same as the WWI record!) - he did serve in France 1918 to
1919 as was mentioned on the record. It was his date of birth that was a great
bonus!! Thank you!!!

Looking for information on death location of maternal grandmother Pearl Mae Sweet. Supposed to have died sometime between 1931-1948. Not sure if she'd remarried before she died. Don't know when, where or how she died. Other names she'd gone by: Maiden name - Enlow/Inloe. Married names - Stanfield, Tobinski, Sweet. Been looking for her for 25 years - hope someone can help!
Thanks.
