Both compliment each other! Driving to my part time work, I listen to a Canadian Windsor PBS radio program. On Friday past, the DJ mentioned a bit of news that a man, at an unverified age of 125 years, was growing a second set of adult teeth. Something to look forward to!

Yes, she did. She has been so nice about helping me. The IOOF lodge in Metropolis closed last year; I contacted the Grand Lodge of Illinois. Perhaps they will have some records which will help us further. Thank you so much for your help too. My husband (who was born in Paducah) and I are going to visit the area this summer and are hopeful to find some of the old family gravesites. pat bakersfield, ca ----- Original Message ----- From: "John D. Hello Bill, You are right, cemeteries have a wealth of info for us. I went to a cemetery in Clarksville, AR, & found the stones of my great-grandmother & a great-aunt. My great-grandfather's stone was missing but it sure meant the world to me to find the cemetery. Grdma Ellen's was a home-made slab of cement & is quite worn & extremely difficult to make out. On that note, I wanted to pass along this little tidbit for you & anyone else who takes pictures of the stones. I have not tried this so don't k

Patricia, It occurred to me last night that the other lodge you're seeking info on is commonly called the Tribe of Ben Hur, Metropolis Court #181. This hasn't been in existence here in many years and I have no idea where the records would be for this. Brenda, (at our library here) said she will e-mail you concerning the IOOF records.
