Hello all,
I have a two part question for any takers:
1) Does anybody out there have any comments on the book The Gin Ridge Clans,
which professes to deal with the families of the Gin Ridge area (is the book
credible, thorough, well documented, etc.)?
2) Does anybody have a copy of the book from which they can send me a copy of
about 5 pages?
Any input would be greatly appreciated,
Josiah
Hi, Folks
I'm looking for descendants of Thomas Edmonson who lived in Good Hope,
McDonough County, Ill., where he was murdered March 17, 1882, by -- I'm sorry
to say -- my great great uncle, Robert E. Gick, and his accomplice, my great
grandfather, George W. Payne.
According to newspaper coverage (in the Bushnell Record) of the murder and
subsequent trial, Edmonson had a wife, Kate Morris Edmonson, and three
children, including a son, Frank. He was a veteran of Co. I, 78th Illinois
Infantry.

ago.
