Hi,
Recent info I have received has made me wonder if anyone in this group has
access to the census of 1860 for the State of Illinois. My ancestors,
Adonijah Reed and his wife, Elizabeth, are thought to have been in Illinois
during this census, but I have not been able to look at it.
If it is possible to get someone to check for this, I would greatly
appreciate it.
Thanks,
Doris Reed Forsyth
There is a James Henry and Lydia M Reese in State Center, Marshall Co,
Iowa in 1880. The information is on the Family Search site. He is 27
and she is 21. I know the ages don't match, but I've learned that the
info isn't always accurate - especially if someone else is giving the
info.

These are my gggrandparents, and they are a brick wall. My ggrandfather
Edwin Moore Kimball was b. (Macomb?) McDonough Co. 20 Jul 1841and by the
1850 census was living with Abraham Powers (which agrees with family
tradition). He probably had a sister Nancy Lacy Kimball b. 1844 McDonough
Co. Family tradition says Edwin was placed in a foster home when his
mother (and father?) died (possibly when Nancy was born). Does anyone know
of any church or funeral home type of records that might cover this? Does
a
Doris,
Do you have any idea where they might be?
I have temporary access through Genealogy.com, but 1860 is not indexed.
(There is an Adonijah Reed in 1870 in Ohio. Listed alone and 63 years
old. Page is very hard to read).

Recently in response to a query I posted on another
site, I was advised to look in Macomb IL for James
Henry Reese and his wife, Lydia M. Tucker. This is
what I have, and there are any Reese or Tucker
researchers on this list, if you recognize this family
please let me know. Any suggestions in tracing this
family will be welcomed.
Thank you. Osborn Reese
