I had an aunt there for awhile. My McDonough Co. ancestors were the Emory"s
and Myers.

According to the Thursday, June 8, 1882, edition of the Macomb Journal, Miss Martha ELWELL and Milton ATHERTON applied for a marriage license in May.

Daniel SANDIDGE, an old citizen of Oakland twp died last Saturday at the residence of his son-in-law, J. LINDSEY near Walnut Grove, McDonough County. He was born in Kentucky on 23 February 1804 and married Miss Permala Pate of Lincoln County, Kentuck on 12 October 1825.
