But... you might also just try a search and see what you find. Go to www.google.com search on your surname and the word origins or history or something like that. It's possible that Thomas and Catherine went to Kansas, but, they would have to have birthdates around 1820. Their son, William, was born in New Boston, Ill. in 1840, and located in Iowa after the Civil War. I have lots of information @ him. But, I'll check any lead. Thanks again, Rosemary

Jshean Henry's parents, William and Eliza Lowther were born in New York and migrated to Richland Grove Township in Mercer County in 1837. They were farmers and in 1850 the family consisted of the following: William - 48, Eliza - 43, Henry - 17, Julia T. - 13 and Salinda - 4. They do not show up in Richland Grove in the 1860 Census. Fellow List Members, I am wondering if one of you could possibly look up an obituary for me that would have been posted in the paper for Seaton, there in Mercer County. I hate to say that I don't know the exact date of death but do know that it was in December 1969. The individual's name was Clara OWENS. Roberta You're about right on the migration dates. Joseph - 44 and Mary - 41 White came from PA and their son, William was 11 years old in 1870 and born in Illinois.
