Dan: You may find your Langs in St. Clair County, IL. Try for Millstadt or
Belleville. If they are there they may have had interaction with my Kempfs. I
remember a Lang as witness to one of Adam and Louisa Kempf's baptism in the
1850's. (in Millstadt) Let me know if you find them there. Janet McLain

I recall an MCGS member searching for Henry Lange. I am inputting burial places from all Monroe Co. death records into the county-wide cemetery database. I find Henry Lange, a miller, 28Y,1M,14D, died 09-10-1897 in Columbia, buried in St. Louis, MO. He is listed as single at the time of death and born in MO.
Thanks for remembering me, Janet. I am still searching for Heinrich/Henry & Catherine [SCHEURICH] LANG. In the 1850 Iowa Federal Census they list 3 children born in "Illinois". I am trying to find where in Illinois. There is a "Henry & Catherine LONG" who sold land in Monroe County on March 6, 1846. That is the year my Henry & Catherine LANG arrived in Dubuque County, Iowa. I would like to learn when Henry & Catherine bought this Monroe County land. They were married October 20, 1836, in Baltimore, M
