Hey Guys and Girls,
Could you all put the subject of the message in the subject line. Would help
us all out a lot, instead of Re: (ILMORGAN-L) Listowner
Thanks Pat

We do need to take off the Listowner, and replace it with the subject you are
writing about. Thanks to one who wanted to know the significance of the

Hi John,
I wish I knew who Elizabeth SEYMORE's parents or siblings were. All
I know at this time is that Spencer RAGAN and Elizabeth were in Fayette
Co., KY in 1818 when their daughter married William TAYLOR. Then the
RAGAN's and TAYLOR's were in Morgan Co and on the 1830, 1840 & 1850 Fed
census. Spencer Ragan was listed with his son William RAGAN on the 1850
census as 84 yrs. old but from the probate papers it seems that the
property was owned by Spencer RAGAN. Spencer RAGAN died 1851. Elizabeth
Polly/Mary CAULKINS married John C. ROGERS in Morgan Co., IL Jan. 29, 1839. I'm trying to locate any information on this family, especially any descendants.
John R. Jordon (JORDAN) is listed as the guardian to the heirs of Nehemiah CAULKINS in Administrators Fee Book 1837-1849 Morgan Co., published by Wanda Warkins Allers and Eileen Lynch Gochanour, March 1987. I know that John Jordan was the new husband of Nehemiah's widow, Rebecca Applegate Caulkins, so he was the stepfather of Nehemiah's heirs. Is the
Greetings,
Nice to see so much activity on this list! I don't think I've posted
here yet, so here is the small amount of information that I have.
Harriet Jeanette Boring, born July 1866 in Morgan County, Illinois,
daughter of Wilson Lee Boring and Nancy Stewart. Her siblings wee R.J.
Boring (born 1860) and Emma Bell Boring (born 1862). Harriet married
Timothy Wilson Rowley of Springfield, Ill. Most of her children were
born in Jacksonville, Morgan County, Illinois: Cornelia Bell Rowley,
John B. Rowley
I'd also be interested in getting a copy of the letters. The names mentioned
are not from my line but my people lived there around that time. The
conditions of the time would be of interest to me.
How can one get a copy of the letters or article? Thanks Ann

Hi,
I was poking around last night and found a John Granderson Seymour from
England listed in World Family Tree, Volume 16, Tree No. 725. His Birth date
is given as 1770 to 1779.
I don't have access to WFT Vol 16. But if anyone does, perhaps this was a
cousin of John Granderson. Who, thanks to John, I have discovered is my many
GGrandfather also.

Looking for information about Lucinda Rogers who married Lewis Piper 1835 in
Morgan County. They owned land in the present day Scott County area. I believe
Lucinda is related to the Rogers buried in the Rogers Cemetery near Waverly Il.
She may have been the daughter of Rev. Rogers.
