I am also planning a trip to the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Golconda in April.
I am looking for my ancestors, JOHNSON, HARRIS/HARRISON. I cannot find a
record of who is buried in this cemetery as the records seem to be
incomplete, and the question is who has the records for this cemetery. I
have spoken to the main OFC lodge, and a Mr. Rottman who has a platt plan of
the cemetery. Any help would be very much appreciated. Cheridec@aol.com
Faye, I'd like a copy of the Obits book. \

Hi:
I just notices the attached message exchange regrading the Cash family. My
g, grandmother Sarah Eliabeth Tarpley Powell's second husband was a Charles
Cash. There were no children, but I wondered if the Charles Cash mentioned
below was the same.

Hi Chris:
I was just curious. If it is the same Charles Cash, b. 1849, then he was my
g.grandmother's second husband. I descend through her first husband, Hardy
Powell. Apparently they got divorced and she remarried. My mother used to
speak, however, of her Grandmother Cash. There were no children from the
second marriage, so I don't think we have any common ancestors or cousins.
Thank you for your reply,

Are you referring to the books by Mr. Worley?

I found a Waters Cemetery in Pope Co. A Pleasant Green Waters is buried
there. This isn't the Pleasant Green born to George and Mary Waters. It is
in the late 1870's. Has anyone heard of a Waters Cemetery? It is evidently
a family plot.
My Waters owned land around the Glendale area. In fact, some of it is now
owned by the University of Illinois Experiment Station.
Does anyone know the name of the cemetery that was on the farm now owned by
Dwayne Sullivan?
Sharon
Audrey,
I am El Marie(Nelson) Kirby and am researching Nathan & Cynthia (Parker)
Nelson & family - in Pope Co. (census) 1870. They were in Louisiana
before that, and still earlier, were in Mississippi.

Dear List,
The newest book, "Rock Community in Pope County, Illinois, Early 1880's

compiled this wonderful history book with the help of many descendants
of the early settlers sharing their family records, documents, and
photos.
It has 500 pages, including 100 pages of pictures with captions and
stories. It has over 4000 indexed names. For a partial list of contents

Regina, This isn't much, but it may eventually tie into your Neely line. I
don't have any further information because they are distantly related.
