The State censuses between 1845-1865 do not include a list of inviduals in the household, only the head of household William Reams appear in 1845, 1855, 1865 Censuses. There appears to be a great deal of confusion and a lot of people have a lot of different information. I think he originally came from York, England to southern New York in the 1700s and moved on over to Ohio and then to southern Illinois, specifically, Golconda. I think that he had three sons with him. John Austin, Joshua Bailey Austin, William Harrison Austin and Thomas Jefferson Austin. I have a good bit of data on W.H. as I am descended from him. Cheri, Yes. Ella Boos's father, George Otto Boos, was the brother of my g-grandmother, Julia Boos Schumacher. The parents of George and Julia were Johann Georg Boos and Catharina Studlin. Before her marriage to my g-grandfather, Dedrich Schumacher, Julia was married to on August 29, 1863, she was married to William Charles Dyer, who died about 1860. Carol, I don't have a birthdate but his will (#272, Book L) was filed in 1828 in Caswell Co. NC.---At one time I had a book of Caswell Co. Records from the Shawnee Collection after it was moved to Mt. Vernon Illinois and Obediah was mentioned quite often--I remember I copied nearly half the book.
