Dear Leah Pendleton North Raney,
Your response is greatly appreciated, believe me! I knew that somewhere in
cyber space I might find someone who could help me with this family. .
Whatever information you can supply on the entire James Gilbert Curtis and
Katherine Rohrig Bishop family would be enormously appreciated. Gilbert C.
Bishop (an abbreviation of his full name) and Katherine, I find, are both
buried in the Winchester Cemetery in Scott Co., IL--learned this from
another respondent to my query.

Dear Fellow List Members,
I wish to extend my best wishes for a safe and happy thanksgiving for each and every one of you.
As you pack up your things to get ready for your trip to "Grandmother's House", or wherever your are bound, don't forget to take your genealogy "search tools with you."
Thanksgiving gatherings provide a wonderful opportunity to ask questions about your grandparents, great grandparents, and great, great grandparents.
*Where did they live?
*How long had they lived in the community?
Rhonda,
Many thanks for the information on Ensminger's in Adams County IL. It would
not surprise me if they are connected to the Ensminger's of Shelby Co., IN
or the Ensminger's of Montgomery Co., IN.

His sudden death came as a shock to his family and friends. The
immediate cause was a cerebral hemorrhage but it was probably

I research GOINGS surname. Recently some surprising information came to light. It involves the surname JOHNSON.
George Elmer Goings was born February 24, 1884 in Scott Co. Illinois - probably Winchester. Parents were Sarah Knapp Goings and John Jonah Goings. In July 19, 1932, Elmer was Mussel Hunting on the Illinois River, off Beardstown. and somehow drowned. I have several newspaper articles of this incident, each referencing "a Mysterious Drowning". The account states that "his sister" reported h
