Hello Julie, I am passing on a e-mail to you from Beverly Webster through the message board because your e-mail address does not work. We would love to hear from you.
Hi Julie & Debra,

Many of you have used the familysearch.org to locate info.
Why then guess and wonder about why the Mormons do genealogy and just read for yourself, in their own words.
The Mormons are so misunderstood and part of it is ill informed information by well meaning folks.

I agree that the internet, CDs and other technology-assisted communication
have multiplied the spread of sloppy research--it is so easy to hit the send
button without checking the facts. However, genealogies compiled before the
computer age weren't always completely accurate either. They just didn't
didn't circulate to as many people.
As I understand it (not being Mormon myself), the sealing of families is
much like baptisms in other Christian faiths. Before we get too upset about
this, we should ask ours
I don't often post, but it's very useful to remind folks of the perils of
internet genealogy ever so often.
I'd like to mention a couple of problems that crop up frequently:
The Latter-Day Saints that put out so much good information also have a
practice called "sealing." That's a posthumous "marriage" in which two
people are "sealed" as husband and wife for eternity. If I'm misquoting
someone's religion, excuse me, but this is what I know based on my personal
experience. If some researcher years ag
Linda,
I have been going through my e-mails from some time back and cam across your

and I have a feeling I did not get back to you. I do not know for sure but
I think my Mary Sharpe was the daughter of Robert Sharp and she married
Robert Render in 1903. However there is some relation to Dennis Sharpe I
believe. May have been an uncle. It is always fun to have all these twists
and turns when you are looking for someone. Thank yo

Ancestry.com has completed indexing and digitizing nearly 24 million World

Hi, saw your note to Julie and wondered if the Janssens had any connection
to the Hewitts, Wagners, or Rasmussons. I am working on these family trees,
and have a picture of a male Janssen holding two of my great aunts (Wagner's)
when they were children. Apparently a Janssen man was in and out of Nelson
Hewitt's home as well.
The Family History Library is starting to digitize their book holdings,
mostly family histories to date, and they are putting them online, fully
search able by any word or advanced search combinations. More than 5,000 of
these books are on the Brigham Young University Library servers and
accessible now. The pages are in pdf and each page is a separate document
which means more files to save. The statement is below. I checked it out
briefly and found a direct link at:
