1. Re: [IN-CENSUS-LOOKUP] 1860/Owen/VANDEVENTER [1]
None of it seems to make any sense. If that is the correct Eliza, James is missing in 1860 and she is gone in 1870. I thought maybe that M. Vande-whatever was Mary. I don't know how old she was in 1860. ----- Original Message ----- From: To: Sent: Wednesday, June 04, 2003 11:54 AM Subject: Re: [IN-CENSUS-LOOKUP] 1860/Owen/VANDEVENTER > lindachan99@telus.net writes: > > > > an Eliza Vandevender, is head of house and > > the right age, but I ca

Would there be any chance that Stephen died and Clarissa remarried? Living next door to Marshall and Chloe Brewster in 1850 Bartholomew County, IN census is a Clarissa Taylor, age 59, born New York. She has living with her the Jacob Delong family, which consists of Jacob, age 42, wife Jemima, age 32, and three sons, William, Allen, and I think, Sam. I see by the marriage records that Jemima's maiden name was Hoover, though. So not a possibility for a sister to Chloe, I guess. ----- Original Messag
