Hello,
I don't have acess to the 1840 Indiana index or census so and have no idea on which county I need which is why this is such a broad request. I'm looking for a Kerey or Henry HIBBARD who might have a son over 10 and under 16 (actually 12 years of age.)
Thanks to everyone in advance,
Duane

I'm looking for Pricilla Marshall and her parents. She was born on 2-23-1872. I know she was born in Ky., but maybe they move to Indiana when she was still living with her parents. I know
she married Vernon L. Clark and they lived in Indiana. I just can't fine her before she was married.
Thank You

that's funny, "not to be recorded by genealogists."
Kind of like you are not supposed to cut the tags off of your mattress.

The 2/22/2005 1:59:36 PM post showing the 1850 info was a big help. Family
member's names REALLY help on a post.
20 June 1860, Florence, Williams Co, Ohio (yes, it does look like BOOM):
BOOM, Michael 62 PA
Caroline L. 57 (looks like 51) PA
Margaret 27 OH
Christina 22 OH
David 20 OH
Daniel 14 OH
Amanda 10 OH

I could not find them in 1860. Maybe they weren't married yet? There is a
long list of newspaper snippets in ancestry.com's online newspaper archives
about David in Defiance, Ohio. He and his brothers Daniel and Emanuel
dissolved their partnership in 1873 and then spent the next few years suing
each other. I had thought that maybe if I found Emanuel or Daniel in 1860
it would lead me to David, but no such luck.

Wayne,
I found this listing, but the wife's name is Sarah. If you think this is
yours, let me know and I'll send the transcription to the list. I didn't
see a William Smith in Bartholomew Co born in VA.

The family is just as you have them above, except the Iowa birthplace is
incorrect, it is Indiana. Many of the census takers for 1850 in Indiana
used Ia. as the abbreviation for Indiana, which is misleading, as everyone
thinks that it is supposed to be Iowa. There were no homesteaders

Hi Duane,
Did you get a reply for this request?
My 1840 IN index is only showing results for a John W., Annis S., and
Benj. HIBBARD as Heads of Household.
The index shows a Henry HIBBARD in OH, PA and NY. Ohio is next to IN
---maybe you would like to subscribe to the OH-CENSUS-LOOKUP mailing list and
send a request there?

Hi,
I am hoping that SKS has access to the all-name index for 1850. I am
looking for Joseph McComber (sometimes spelled McCumber). He would be
about 7 years old. I do not know his parents names, nor if he had any
siblings.
Thank you,
Dianne
