I'm trying to find a connection here and Treese doesn't seem to have any.
Any info on Treese/Treece or any other variations would be appreciated.

Hi Listers,
I am trying to contact Norma Roop or one of her family members. Norma wrote the article on the family of Frank L. Roop, his two wives (Anna Barth and Nettie Smith) and Frank's children (Sarah, Lawrence & Orville Richard) which is in the 1979 History of Adams Co, IN.
Can anyone help me find her?

Hello Folks,
I can't keep from commenting on the message from Donnie about the Adams
Co. marriages Book. He notes that he transcribed marriages up to
1820...but the county wasn't even formed until the 1830's...the earliest
marriages recorded were around 1845.
Remember that you have access to all the marriage records from 1845 to
1920 on the Adams Co. web site and it's free! I don't know anything
about the quality of what is being offered, but I always recommend
caution with these types of offers.

I am trying to find the burial place for Gilland 'Gillen' Bates who was born
between 1820-1821 in Ohio and died February 16, 1867 in Adams county, Indiana

date of death and the place of burial for Belinda Lee Bates, wife of Gilland
above. I know that she died in Adams Co., Indiana but have not been able to find
our where. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

No, but I wish I could find someone who has the STEEL line as I am unable to find the ancestors of Clayton Steele (1897-1963). I think his parents might have been William and Bessie (Wort) Steele?
And the parents of Charles Steele (c.1875)
