They need to verify that person's name that is listed on the roster of Civil War soldiers in Blackford County. I would like to know if THOMAS HUGHES of Henry Co. Ind. who was granted land in Jackson twp, Blackford Co. in 1836 and sold it in 1839 was the same one who donated a lot in Granville for the Granville Christian Church and appeared in the Niles twp., Delaware Co. census in 1850 and 1860. WILLIAM and father THOMAS BOWEN came from Henry Co., Ind. at the same time as HUGHES and purchased grants nearby. THOMAS BOWEN had son THOMAS HUGHES BOWEN b. 1823. What is the relationship?
