3. Re: [INBROWN] Vital Records of Brown Co. Books? [1]
I find that he was 74 and alive in 1930 in Morgan County. Maybe he is buried in Morgan Co. since no one finished the date on his tombstone in Beanblossom Indiana. He should have been brought back and buried by his wife and children I would think. Thank you for checking. I really appreciate it. I didn't find much on the Morgan Co Site. Good grief! I just realized that the Amanda Fleetwood that married Alexander Mullis couldn't be the same Amanda Mullis that married my Rowlett. The dates just sunk in. That would have made her 8 years old. I'm just at a loss on this woman! There are several Woods who married in Brown County, but none (according to "Early Marriage Records of Brown County, Indiana") named Eliza Jane and none who married a Sturgeon. Could they have married in a neighboring county? Or might they have married after 1900? A couple of questions about the Vital Records books.. 1. Will the books contain the exact same information that I would find if I go search those records myself? 2. The webpage says $35 each or 2 or more are $30 each. Just want to make sure, I'm reading this correctly, if I want Vol 1 BIRTHS & Vol 2 DEATHS, I would need to send $60 + $10 [ $5 postage for each book ] = $70. 3. The records in the books start with 1882. Does Brown County have earlier records? Thank you Cathy crkp@svs.net
