Good Morning, I am trying to locate information on Jacob Arnold who married Eliz Boreis. According to the information I have (which is mostly word of mouth) He was born 12/22/1796 in Alton, Switzerland. The spelling of her last name could be incorrect but that is the way it is pronounced in French. He emigrated to Cannelton, Indiana in 1856 from Germany and then to Owensboro, KY in 1874. According the the History of Daviess County, Kentucky he was the oldest living resident at age 91. In the 1880 census

Yes it is. It is located on the west side of St Rd 66 between Hardinsburg and Milltown. I think the township is Wiskey Run. The church is still active. Bill Allen

Dawna, My husband's grandmother was Anna Lucille Brokamp. She was born in St Wendel, Ind. Her father was Fred Brokamp who emigrated from Berlin, Germany. Her mother was Johanna Raben.
