Karen, Laughery Twp. is currently located in Ripley co. The city Batesville is located in Laughery Twp. In the 1820 census it may have been considered Dearborn county, as Ripley county was formed from Dearborn. About 1818 to 1819 Ripley was in the process of forming it's own county.
