Hi,
My Father had a great(?) aunt named Jane Reid. My father's name is Raymond H. Squibb. I do not know if Reid is Jane's maiden name, or married name. I know nothing about her. Any chance we could fit in your family?

Thank you for your help, Don. That certainly is interesting to learn. I could have sworn that the 1850 said it was Hamilton County, but maybe I just wrote down the wrong county - Jacob's brother, E.F., was living in Hamilton County, OH in the same year. Thanks again - hopefully this will help! :)

I just read your post that said you are related to George W. Squibb. Is this, by any possibility, George Washington Squibb, born 1844 in Ohio, married to Abigail? He is my GG grandfather. I would love to hear from you.

Jessica. I went to the 1850 census to see where the family was and discovered that they were in Harrison. Harrison is a small town that straddles the Indiana/Ohio border. It is possible that they lived on the Ohio side and if they crossed the street to have a baby then that baby would have been born in Indiana. Don

My name is Alice Bauer and I'm searching for information on my husbands

1847. He first located in Poughkeepsie, NY and about 1854 moved to Aurora
where in carried on a sash and door factory and later became a carpenter.
According to information I found several years ago in the Aurora library in 'Our

Good Morning Penny,
Unfortunately I don't have any record books for Kelso township. That book is
due out soon but don't know exact date. I'll keep your email and respond
when I get the book.
Here is some info that might help. I have been able to find old records from
the historical society. Records only go back to 1826, there was a fire in
the court house. The historical society has microfilms of most old records.

Dan - in reference to your email of 11/18/2006 where you mentioned your relative John Bauer, you said there was a Catherine age 56 living in his household in 1860. I have been searching for more information on her and so far have not turned up anything. From information I pulled several years ago (of which I have no proof at this time), it was suggested that a Christian Bauer born 1800 Wurtemberg, Germany died 1826 and a Cathrine 'Unknown' born about 1802 were my Charles's parents.
