I have tried to look at the updates on the Dearborn Gen Site and I get Error
messages of over 144 errors. What is happening?

Just a little information that is really food for thought.
Dearborn County, IN borders Hamilton County, OH. Many people in the eastern
part of the county may have their records of birth, death, marriage, etc
actually located in OH and not in IN.
This has been the case in my family as they are located in both counties.
The nearest hospitals in particular were in Cincinnati.
Hope this helps some researchers.

Are the death records for a person such as JOHN R. THOMPSON died 27 Dec
1884 still available in the Dearborn County Health Dept. office or were
these records sent to the state office at Indianapolis. How much is it now
for the office to look up the death record and make a certified copy.

Hello,
It has been brought to my attention that a few of you have been having
trouble viewing the Dearborn co page.
My husband has made a couple corrections that he recently found, and
hopefully this has corrected the problem for everyone.
FYI the site is best viewed with a 3.0 or 4.0 browser (Internet Exployer
or Netscape) If you have another browser, hopefully you should still be
able to view it.
Please try the site again, and let me know of any problems.

Hello,
I have been working on the Dearborn co web page, and have recently added
a township map. Eventually my plans are to have a link for every
township, with information concerning the township...history,
cemeteries/churches etc, and info on people who lived their.
I have also brought back the Dearborn co. Archives. We are fortunate to
have many volunteers that have contributed information in the past for
Dearborn co, and I want to be sure it is available for all of us. Right
now I have just uploa
Hello,
If you can get to Dearborn Co, the Lawrenceburg library has the 1860
Dearborn co census on microfilm. (Along with most other years for

I accidently deleted the message from the person looking for information on STARR/COLEMAN so I am posting to the list. I went to the library today and found a listing in the Dearborn County Indiana Marriages 1826-1854. Here is what I found:
Date Bride Groom Bk Page
Jan 24, 1839 *Coleman, Sarah Ann Starr, Richard 5 54
*mar date uncertain
Hope this helps.

I am at a dead end with my Callaway surname. William Callaway, a 2nd gr.
grandfather, is listed in 1900 Ohio Census as living in Addyston with a wife
and three children. According to census, he was born in Indiana in 1869, and
both of his parents lived in Indiana. I can find no other information on
William.
If anyone has any information, I would greatly appreciate it.

Am seeking info on the Adney family of Dearborn County. Charles T. Adney
appeared in the 1830 Dearborn Co. census in the 20 to 30 age bracket with one
male under 5, 2 females under 5 and one female 20 to 30. Also found where
Charles Thomas Adney purchased 84.1 acres in 1834 in Dearborn County. Think
this could possibly be my ggg-grandfather. Can find nothing more of him in
the census records. My gg-grandmother appears in the 1850 Union Co. Indiana
census with a male child named Charles Thomas Ad

Yes, the old records are still at the health dept. His should be as long
as someone actually recorded his death.
I'm not sure of the cost, I think it is $5.00 for a certified copy. I
could be wrong.
Good luck,

Hi everyone,
I noticed this morning when checking the new information that I uploaded
last night, that the site was about a month old. Many updates are not on
it.
I just received email from RootsWeb saying that their server is down, for
an unknown amount of time. What is currently on the web is not the new
info. Please check back again!!! (Note: if you go to the site and Welcome
to Dearborn co etc is in Green type, and not engraved looking, it is the
old site.)
I will notify the list when the site
