The SSDI is available at several sites but is probably most usefully laid

by name, dates of birth and death, locality of last residence and last
benefit (seldom given) and original state of SS registration. The Index
covers primarily deaths of those to whom Social Security cards were issued
and who died after 1937, but there are a few dozen who died in each of the
preceding years. It

will take one to The Official Federal Land Patent Records Site. We have
probably all used this site. What some may not realize is that one can find
not only the land records of our ancestors, but ALSO who his neighbors
were. As with using the 20-20 method in census searches (check 20 names

They were brickmakers and bricklayers. Is the Robert GARRISON,
carpenter, from NJ who was in Salt Creek Twp prior to 1840 connected
with this family?
My GARRISON/ PARCEL lines left IN for IA in the early 18
