I have the necrology of New Point/Salt Creek Twp. compiled by Reuben Harding
and added to by others.
If there is a demand, I'll take the time to type it for this list.

The Indiana Pioneer Cemetery Restoration Project (INPCRP) needs your help to
collect signatures on a Petition to persuade the Indiana General Assembly to
DO SOMETHING to protect the hundreds (I suspect thousands) of pioneer
cemeteries scattered throughout the state.
The General Assembly will be reconvening soon and we need to collect as many
petition signatures as possible, as quickly as possible, from both inside
and outside the state.
We've discussed here before the pathetic state of In

I will share anyhting I have someone else wants! I have found a cousin,
William Elder, from reading a query on your page. For that, I can't thank
you enough. I have a website (hopefully it will change a great deal by
Jan.) of mostly Bartholomew County, Indiana families, but a few settled
first in Decatur. The CHRISTY, SMOTHERS & SCHROER ones I am a direct
descendant of, while I have a lot of info on the allied families (as well as
some wonderful ca 1890 wedding photos) of the SCHWERING, SCHOETTMER
Following my appeal last week for further volunteers, we now have Maurice
Holmes's Court Records and Will Records covered and a number of additional
archives of family records. Many thanks to those who came forward.

I've added to the Decatur County genweb pages a few new lookup resources.
One is for the 1860 census, the others for family records. We now have
volunteers willing to share their extensive resources on the following
families: Elder, Geiger, Gray, Haines, Harding, Maynard, Montgomery,
Morris, Nordmeyer, O'Hara, Pemberton, Reddington/Redington, Sharp, Wood.
If any of you have records you're willing to share, let me know.
I'm particularly eager to find look-up volunteers with access to any of the
following:

It would be very useful to have this kind of material typed and then put up
on the web. If you can give me full details about the publication so that
we can check the copyright, and if you're willing to type it up, I can
arrange to have it entered in the Decatur Co archives, which we've just
begun at http://www.rootsweb
I am sorry if this query is old to you, but since I am new to the list,
I am sending it again.
I am looking for information on my family. Believed to have
originally been Hind. Variations of the name include HINDS [My current}
HIND / HINES / HYNES / HYND, etc.
My direct ancestory was in Beaver County, PA after the Revolution, but
may have been descendent from Chester, PA, -- Albemarle, Augusta Counties
in VA. Family members migrated through VA, PA, KY, TN, AL, AR, IN. Early
