I've looked in the 1860 and 1870 census indexes and can't find a
Niehaus, even using Soundex, though it is not unlikely that the name
is badly misspelled in the census and/or badly transcribed in the
index. There's only one Pauline in the 1870 index. You might wish

Hello Decatur County researchers.
It has been a long time since I was last on this list. I was born in Decatur County & my father also was. I have been researching my JONES lines, I have two, for over 20 years. My great grandfather was Henry Crown JONES. He was born 5/2/1830 in Ripley County, In. His father was Samuel JONES. I would like information on William M. Storms and Elizabeth Clemons Storms.
I have been unable to prove parentage of William, and only have Elizabeth's
father, James M. Clemons.
I would appreciate any help available. Thanks.

Hi
I am looking for Pauline NIEHAUS, born in Decatur Co, Clarksburg around
12/30/1865. Parents names unknown, known siblings are Joseph B. Niehaus, Mrs.
Anna Mason and Mrs. Margaret Schmidt. She lived in Chicago during the Fire, but
I'm not sure at what age she moved there. But I do know her family's home was
destroyed by the event.
But I do know she was born in Indiana but don't know how long she lived there
Thanks
