5. Snippets of Decatur Co genealogy [1]
I subscribe to a PML program through Rootsweb which allows me to select names for which I receive all e-mail messages on Rootsweb lists and GenConnect boards containing these names. "Decatur Co IN" is one of the names I list and I occasionally receive potentially interesting snippets or slabs of genealogy relating to the county. I haven't bothered to pass these on unless I've known someone interested, but from now on I'll post those of any substance to the Indecatu list, along with occasional mater

He lived with them until the courthouse burned. It destroyed t

I just checked with my local congressman's office and they said this has been on the rumor mill for 4 years and last year May 2000 a bill HR 1291 passed prohibiting such a charge ever happening. He also stated all bills in Congress start with HR not P and also there has never been a congressman by the name mentioned in some of the messages. I urge everyone to check with your Congressman to see if we all come up with same story. Maybe this got started because of recent article saying the Post Office is runni
