I have recently traced my LANG & SCHEURICH ancestors to Niedernberg, Bavaria, Germany. Heinrich/Henry LANG was born in Niedernberg, Bavaria, 17 March 1809. He became a shoemaker (as was his father and grandfather). He emigrated aboard the Bark Potomac, landing at Baltimore, 18 October 1836. He married Catherine SCHEURICH two days later (20 October 1836) at St. John German Church, Baltimore. Catherine had also arrived aboard the Bark Potomac. She was born 1812(?) in Niedernberg.
