I'm seeking these four names from the Franklin/Rush/Fayette
areas. These ancestors seemed to be clustered within a
circle encompassing New Salem, Laurel, and
Connersville (perhaps).
1. George E. POWELL
2. Stephen COPES
as well as sister, Kiza/Keziah COPES(Powell)
3. James POWELL
4. Martin TAYLOR (wife, Martha; son, Edwin)

Is Brant the maiden or married name?
Do you mean the town of Franklin, rather than the county? That could be in
Wayne or Johnson County.

Here is the list of surnames looked up in "Surname Index of Franklin County Indiana Will Records 1813-1936". I still have not found the three volume set of Franklin Co., Indiana Wills recorded by Ruth Slevin. However, a list member emailed me saying that Allen Co. Gen. Society may have it. She came across the three volume set once and with the information contained within the set, she was able to obtain a copy of a will from the Franklin County clerks office.

married a Jim H. and had two daughters Leona and emma Adeline H. She probably
married in OK.

I am searching on information about Abram Hammond and his family. HIs
parents moved to Brookville about 1820. Abram and his brother both
