Just to let you know that we've added some new information to the GenFest site; specifically, area campgrounds and some interesting places to visit in the area.

I am trying to search a link in my family tree , the name Sharpneck ...I believe that I have the spelling right .
I believe that maybe some of the family lived in Marion around 1924 .
The name was Ellen..., she married a Smith and maybe passed away around 1976 in a Nursing home in Marion .
I would very much like to find this family-link if anyone can help , Please ?

My g-grandfather owned 62 lots in the College Addition in the late 19th
early 20th century. Three of those lots remain in the family.
This was the area to the west of the old Marion College, from 38th south to
45th and west to Western Ave.(roughly the bypass today). East of Washington,
it ran from 41st south to 45th and east to Nebraska St. The addition was
platted 16 May 1893 and comprised 115 10/100 acres.
I have a copy of the plat map.

I have some probate papers from my grt grandfather's death. It shows that he owned property in what looks to read: "Lot 118 in Miller's College Lawn Add. to the City of Marion, Grant County, Ind." The handwriting is a little rough so not sure about all the words. Does this place sound familiar to anyone and, if so, where is it?
