Hi,
I'm looking for information on John A. Green. Yeah, yeah, I know but I
can narrow it down so hopefully there aren't more than a couple.
John died in Bicknell sometime just before Novermber 21, 1926. His
wife, Lucinda, died some time during 1919. John was living with his
daughter, Elizabeth Messell (Elizabeth's husband is Charles). I'd really
appreciate obits for John and Lucinda and/or 1920 census info. I'm
looking for parents names of both John and Lucinda and birth places.
Thanks,
Lori

Hello Everyone,
I am trying to find out more about my ancestor Jacob C. SMITH (wife, Mary A.
McKenzie) and his family who moved to Knox Co. from Harrison Co probably
around 1860. Here is what I know ...
Jacob C. Smith, b: 1832, d: 1878, Knox Co, IN, md: Mary A. McKenzie
(1828-1901) 1856, Harrison Co, IN. I do not know where he was buried, but
Mary McKenzie Smith is buried in Davies Co at the Maysville Cem. I know
they had a farm outside of Frichton, IN.
Children:
1) Mary R., b: 1856, md: Edward B. R
The following is a rather long article, not for the faint of heart I might
add, and if you have a short fuse--DON'T READ IT!
If something like this were to happen in Morgan County, Indiana, I can
assure you that I would do all in my power as a member of the Morgan County,
Indiana, Council, to reduce the County Commissioners Budget to Zero thus
requiring them to request every penny that they needed to spend from the
Council as they needed it. Including the destruction of valuable County
Records. Thank goo

Dear Knox Co. Researchers,
I'm new to this list. I'm starting to work on one of my husband's lines. I
don't have a lot to go on. We believe there is a connection to the Eli
LILLY family, but we're not exactly sure where.
According to tradtion, there were two brothers. Supposedly the brothers had
a stepfather who was a mean one. They beat him up and
left him for dead. Our Thomas worked his way South. He supposedly even
met Abraham Lincoln splitting rails in KY. Eli LILLY's line (the ancestors
