This Zip code for Rockville is 47872. There is also a funeral home in
Rosedale, IN: Cottrell Funeral Home, I don't have the address for this one.
Your best bet would probably be to contact the Parke County Historical
society and they could point you in the right direction. I know they have a
lot of helpful people as well in the Rockville Library.
Here is the information for the PC Historical Society:

Hi,
I'm looking for an obituary and/or info on Daniel Mullis, died 12 January
1940, buried Rockville Cemetery. I have reference to "Hugh Montgomery,
funeral director". Can anyone tell me what funeral home this refers to?
Is it still in existance? I don't find an address in the phone book. Has
another business taken over those records?
Also, he was a resident of "Parke Co. Infirmary". Can anyone tell me where
to write for info from them?
Thanks,
Kathy
Hi List,
I'm trying to get some info on any family of Thomas and Caroline (White)
Gleason. She was the daughter of Basil and Matilda (Hunter) White. They were
married at Parke county in 1856.
Does anyone have access to the 1860, 1870 or 1880 census for Parke county? If
so, could you please check to see if there was any family. Was Edward Basil
Gleason, born about 1866, their son? Were there any other children?
If you should be a descendant I have at least a part of your ancestry back to
Switzerland
Thank you for the help, suggestions and ideas in response to my question about Daniel Mullis and the funeral home. What a wonderful list!
Thanks!
Kathy

In response to Kathy Scott's question about a funeral director and funeral homes in Parke County, I recently found three funeral homes on a website listing such businesses. (I think they covered all the states, but I really only put down "FuneralNet" on my notes, because I only wanted info on Parke County.)
I haven't written any of them yet, but it appears that all are current businesses in Rockville. No zip code was given, but I'm sure you can find that somewhere on the Internet!
Barnes Mortuary, 111 E.
I understand that the Court House burned and all records prior to 1832 were
destroyed. Does anyone know if this is true and, if so, are there other ways
I might find a marriage prior to that time??
Thanks in advance
