1. Your opinion's [1]
After the recent posts about the ghost at Wilhoit, Angela Tielking sent me the pic linked below and is interested in everyone's opinion about it. She is curious about what you think the bright colored spot on the picture is or what may have caused it. http://www.inpcrp.org/Chappel_Shore_Cemetery.jpg Brad
2. Re: [INPCRP] T-Shirts With INPCRP (Print, Logo Possibly) [1]
Jack, this is just a suggestion. Ask the print shop if they can get GILDAN tee shirts and sweat shirts. Over the last 15 years our fire department has tried Fruit-of-the-Loom, Hanes and Jerzees and they just do not hold up that well. About 5 years ago we started using TULTEX shirts and they were an excellent shirt, but our shirt shop lost his supplier for them when they filed bankruptcy. He switched to GILDAN and we have been very happy with them. We use the "Gildan Ultra Cotton Heavyweight

It's just another organization concerned with cemeteries. I don't know where it originates. I think is has a national, or maybe just regional, scope. Can anyone give me some information on how someone can start their own cemetery on land that they own? I am sure there are guidelines and laws that need to be followed. Thanks, Angela Tielking

I think it is a Graveyard Gremlin. You know .....the ones responsible for missing stones, broken markers, illegible inscriptions, probing laws, state legislative expediency............ 8. Re: "Lost" Pile [1]
L.A., Of the stones that have inscriptions on them, I do know who they belong to from the lists I've compiled. I just don't know where in the cemetery they go. I've done plenty of research, but the burials are pretty random. I've analyzed the burials by dates and families...but neither give a good placement for the "lost" stones. I thought about a long box, but I thought it'd look strange to have both headstones and bottom halves, and footstones all in a long row. Plus, it'd be about 15 feet long! That'

11. Re: [INPCRP] ghost picture [1]
You know what I think the ghost picture is? I think is someone sitting next to the window in a pew. This is and old building. If it has the old windows, they will distort images. I remember them when I was a kid. Some had bubbles and looked wavy when you looked out them. Just an thought. Are you using an indoor film or a camera setting designed for indoors? Red/orange streaks are indicative of normal light or inside tungsten lights too strong for your camera settings or the type of film you are using. For example, Tungsten film is normally used to compensate for indoor shots where "tungsten lights" (normal lamps, etc) are too warm and cause red/orange streaks in photos. Tungsten film shifts towards blue to balance things out. Since these are outdoor shots, not indoors, something
21. Re: [INPCRP] Matching up stones and bases.. [1]
Re: sandstone markers Sandstone is Silicon Dioxide (SiO2), the same thing as quartz, and the same thing as glass. However the way Sandstone is laid down and hardens varies widely, and it's durabiity is easily degraded by weathering. I would think a silicon based cement or bonding material would work best, but that would not stop the weathering process or the ability to trap and hold water. (it is water that breaks up the sandstone) I do not do marker restorations but I am sure there is "something"

Walt gave me a picture taken in Crowns Nest cemetery last summer, which shows something that looks like wisps of smoke and white lights over half the picture. There is nothing over there to reflect light like that. I chalk it up to good spirits. I think this ghost picture thing has been good for the list. People have posted who had not been on before, as well as some people who hadn't been around for awhile. Good to know you are out there. Hi Ernie, I am using indoor/outdoor Kodak Max 800 film (the versatility plus). My camera is not fancy, just an Olympus standard camera. When I take any other photo outside, I do not have the streaks, it is just in cemeteries. Some of the cemeteries I have taken photos in are not always in the open. One particular cemetery is very shaded and I got the streaks there as well. I will get permission from the people in the photo before I post it. This is the most intriguing photo that has the streaks. The streak
