1. Rebecca Brewer ca 1813-1852 [1]
Because I haven't been receiving messages posted to the Posey Co. Message Board, I've decided to post this query to the list as well. Apologies to any who receive it twice. I'm searching for information on my 3rd great grandmother, Rebecca Brewer Walls. Rebecca Brewer, born about 1813 IN (according to the 1850 Posey Co. census), married James WALLS 1828 in Posey Co. I believe her mother to be the Elizabeth BREWER, born 1770-1780 who was enumerated on the line immediately preceding James & Rebecca in the 1
2. TEST [1]
Have not been getting any posts. Please let me know if you are receiving this. I apologize but this is the only way I know to test the list as I am receiving my other lists. Thank You, Judy
3. Campbells/Knights [1]
Looking for anyone related to my Knights from Posey Co... Joseph H. Knight m Mary Margaret Culley I am particularly interested in their daughter Bertha Knight Campbell. This family evidently left Posey Co., for southern Illinois, Saline Co. living in Omaha, Ill. for a time. Somehow Bertha is with the family of John Knight in the 1900 census, listed as single, daughter when she was actually married and daughter of Joseph H. Knight. Wondering if there are any other relatives of this famil
4. St Wendel [1]
Could someone on this list please explain to me how the following information can make sense. My husband's grandmother Anna Lucille Brokamp was born 12/8/1873 in St. Wendel, Indiana. It is my under standing that St Wendel is still in existence, at least it was a few years ago when we visited there. Why does the web say that St Wendel School is in Wadesville, Indiana. Is this so close the towns meet?? Is this a different St Wendel? Anna Lucille Brokamp's mother was Johanna Raben. Johanna's sister Mary R
5. Thomas C. and Telia (Massey) Cash Indiana and Oklahoma [1]
I am doing some research for my neighbor, Ann (Cash) Graham. We are looking for information on the ancestors of Thomas C. CASH born October 1862 in Indiana. He married Telia A. (possibly Arlillian) MASSEY born August 1868 in Indiana. They had two sons: Murrill Allen born June 22, 1896 in Guthrie, Oklahoma and Wilbur M. born about 1904 in Indiana. We believe that Thomasb

7. New home page entry [1]
There is a new home page entry in the Posey page. Under the Local links and addresses where the home page section is located we welcome Deborah (Marvel) Wesley's work on her home genealogy page. If you would like your home page listed at the Posey USGenWeb site just send me an email with the page address, the name you want the page listed under and some of the ancestors you have listed in your home page. Gilbert
8. Re: [INPOSEY] St Wendel [1]
St Wendel and Wadesville both exist as communities. St Wendel post office was established in 1852 and closed 1907. Wadesville is now probably the nearest city with a post office. 9. test message [1]
I resubscribed to the Posey Co. list on 19 June, after returning from vacation. Since that time, I've received no mail from the list. In checking the archives, it would seem that the list has been fairly active. I have my anti-spam filter set to accept mail from the list. Any ideas? Kay Davidson
10. Granville Smith [1]
There is a Granville Smith (age 23) and wife, Margaret Smith (age 25) listed in the 1870 Posey County, Indiana census. Listed place of birth of both is TN. I am interested in the ancestors and descendants of this couple. Could this Granville be the son of Greene Smith, found listed in the 1850 census of Fentriss County, TN? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you. Wayne Smith, Kansas City, MO
