Today I went to a few local cemeteries to get fresh air and to learn. These
aren't the full data I found. Just wrote down the oldest. Those are the
hardest to find. I hope this helps someone.
Just wanted to share a little info.
Good searching.

someone passing thru Youngstown, they may want to look or even contribute
material.

Some of these surnames appear in the Peffley Families in America which
has plenty of Putnam/ Montgomery county connections in the late 19th to
early 20th Centuries.

Hello Janet and all,
Thank you. I'm sure it wasn't the warmest day to be tromping around
cemeteries and trying to write down inscriptions.
I also wanted to point out that both Doe Creek and Salem Cemeteries are
posted on-line on the Putnam County website at
http://www.rootsweb.com/~inputnam/cemeteries.htm. I checked your list
against what has already been posted and found only one additional name on
your list that was not on-line.
I have no idea what Owen County is doing to include cemetery inscriptions

Hi
I am new to the list. I am helping a friend search for her grandfather. His
name was James Alfred Clearwater. I believe he was born or moved to this
county in his early life. I dont know exactly when he was born but would
guess around the 1870's. He moved to Arnett, Ellis Co, Ok and married Helen
Mabel Doane on March 17, 1913. She was born March 3, 1877. Both are buried
in Ellis Co, OK. I know this isnt much to go on but any little bit will
help. James died on November 20, 1944.

Hello List,
I am seeking the parents and siblings of GEORGE W. BURNETT,
born in Indiana, November 15, 1862.
I have no idea the county. That was all I could find on census, death
certificate, etc.
On a tape, made when she was very old, his wife Mary, related this story told
to her by GEORGE.
George's mother was killed in an accident or died suddenly, when he was an
infant.
There were other children, don't know ages or how many. George was adopted by

The Census Project is in need of transcribers for all states. It is a fun
and interesting project to be done at the transcribers leisure. Our goal is
to have all the census records for all years, states and counties to be
available free of charge to anyone who wants to search them.
For more information about becoming a transcriber go to the Census Project
Homepage at http://www.us-census.org/
This is a great group of people to work with and a very worthy project.
Thanks,
