Is anyone descended from Arthur Walker who obtained at least 40 acres of land in Putnam County Jan 1, 1835 at the Crawfordsville office ? I believe the land was in Clinton Twp, Putnam County between the Clinton Falls Church and the Clinton Center School. I have a some type of land certificate pertaining to this purchase. 5. [INPUTNAM] Grider in Putnam Co., IN [1]
Dear Cristy in WA, My ggg grandmother was Mary (aka Polly) Grider. Information I have on her is from an old family tree obtained from Eleanor Ward Timmons of Crawfordsville, IN. It shows my Mary Grider born 20 April 1788, and dying 17 July 1861, and that she married my ggg grandfather John Riley Dickerson. Further information that I've obtained (from other sources) shows my Mary Grider was born in Greenbrier Co., VA, and that she married John Dickerson 24 April 1804, place unknown. The John Riley

8. [INPUTNAM] FORD of Putnam Co [1]
Seeking information regarding John Ford. Have reason to believe, but no documentation, that John Ford (b 1827 in Putnam Co and married Martha Jane Siddens, also of Putnam Co) was the son of Philip and Delila (Lane) Ford. Philip was born in 1795 in TN, but my records show he moved to Putnam Co between 1817 and 1830. Any help would be appreciated. Barbara Ford

14. Re: [INPUTNAM] Land Patents - Mary [1]
Ellie, You can see why I got so excited about this series of books. To me they are the best new set of genealogy books that our librarian has added to our collection. For those of you who are wondering. I'll be doing the last of the research at the library today and hopefully will get everyone's packets finished up tonight and out in tomorrow's mail. 19. Re: [INPUTNAM] Land Patent-Mary Stewart [1]
I'm a bit confused. Do you mean group maps 5 & 6 or pages 5 & 6? There is a major difference, here are no maps on 5 and 6 the index for the first map doesn't even start until about page 60. Page 13 is the over all location of the group maps, which I am including in all packets I am putting together. I've got those to map groups here already and could include them in the massive printing I'm doing today if that is what you need. Do you need the index for those as well (it includes the legal descr

25. [INPUTNAM] another way to find death certificates and wills [1]
First of all let me say, the surnames I was dealing with while doing the following were not ones from this list. I'm just passing on a valuable inexpensive place to possibly find death certificates and wills. There are people who go into genealogy looking for money, that would be my friend D. There are people who do it looking for the pieces of their family quilt and the stories of the lives that wove together to make us. That would be me. Sometimes the two work hand in hand. No, I didn't find g
